A los 17 años, tras ser descubierta por un cazatalentos, se mudó a Paris y entró en el mundo de la moda. Tuvo éxito en seguida, fue una de las "baby-tops" de la época, desfilando para diseñadores como YSL, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton... y acaparando portadas y campañas publicitarias.
Ahí es donde se enamora de Justin Portman, un rico aristócrata británico con el que tuvo su primer hijo a los 19 años y se casó a los 20 en San Petersburgo.
Hoy, a parte de seguir siendo una de las modelos más cotizadas, asiste a las fiestas de la aristocracia británica y fue elegida por los rusos para ser imagen de los juegos olímpicos de Sochi.
